Welcome to Hope- film poster
Poster created for the TV series, Welcome to Hope, where a young man returns home to help his father after his mother dies due to cancer.
The main character Jessie returns to his hometown of Hope and has to figure out what do with his life. With elements of faith and moral challenges, as well as friendship and love, the poster had to evoke all of these elements. We chose to show Jessie looking toward the sky, to God maybe or to his challenges ahead. He feels stuck and needs to find a way to move forward in his life and in his heart. Because this is a series, showing the other main cast on the poster was also important.

OUR PROCESS
The subject matter was important to this poster, as well as the general feeling it evokes. It is a show about struggles and challenges, and about trying to do the right thing. Jessie is looking for guidance from himself, from his friends, and from God. We utilized primarily a warm color palette, but added in some cool tones to represent the hardships in the show. Splitting the poster with the title block helped to show multiple factors and multiple characters on the poster in a clean way. The title treatment evokes the message of the show, the hope that carries it forward, mimicking a sunrise above the clouds.
