OUR PROCESS
The primary element for this cover is the bones, depicting the lost souls and the past memories that live in the cave. Because this book is the official beginning of the Doomsday series and takes place during 1938, the feel is older and has a dark haunting quality to it. The bones of the people that died are scattered throughout the cave, with a door to the past in the eye of the skull. The candle was added as another element to bring the reader back to the past. The colors are more subdued, and the cover overall is darker.
