Poster created for the YouTube channel, Kindly Kenney, where a bookstore owner tells stories to help kids with manners, friendship, respect and more.
This fun family YouTube show was created for children, to teach them helpful lessons in a fun way. We wanted to show the characters in a lively way, with vibrant colors and elements from the stories. Because the show has 2D animation in it, we wanted to add the illustrated style to the poster to maintain the theme.
OUR PROCESS
The process for this poster was a bit different because the show had live footage of the host mixed with animation for all the stories and characters. This was important to portray on the poster, but had to be done in a way that helped meld the two worlds together. We came up with the idea to use a book, showing the characters and elements of the story coming to life. We also wanted to make sure to incorporate the bookstore into the poster as this is the setting for all the stories. The title helps to pull the two different styles together in a fun and dynamic way.
